my wife and i need diff seat positions and every few days we have to replace fuse in boot compartment, which is hassle, gone up to 10 amp but still happening...?

Don't know the answer,
But have you checked under the seat? for obstruction,
cabling all in good condition? possible rubbing of the cable covering,
any water ingress around the fuse box or seat base well,
Also increasing the fuse rating is a bit like locking a fire escape to my mind. DAVE.

had it for over a year, was okay until last few months, we had a 61 reg Freelander before 5 years plus with no problems,
its spent a morning at Bourton Landrovers, they have checked all cables that can be seen, but not removed seat as yet...
We have spent some time trying to see what movement of seat blows the fuse, but cannot isolate which
Nothing burnt out or error codes either, it came from Yate Car sales near Bristol who did specialise in Freelanders , they cannot help
Happy to put lower amp fuse in, not made any diff to longevity...

I have only found 1 similar problem on forum, luckily he posted what he found, and it was a dodgy seat motor that blew the fuse. Note in this case it was lumber adjustment, but it may be a 'movement' motor.

I suggest that you keep 'exercising' the seat manually in each direction until you find which motor until you either find the suspect or eliminate this solution.

Don't forget the motor may be only failing when starting from one rotational position. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
