Thank you for your nice comments appreciated, i intend to cut open the old reservoir sometime today and have ago at doing the rear diff oil & PTU oil if time allows

Changed my PAS fluid and reservoir this morning. Its got to be one of the easiest maintenance jobs on the FL2.
I'd recommend removing the RH headlight unit (takes a few mins only) as it gives much better access to the reservoir connections.

Agree - No need to turn the engine on. Just lift the wheels off the ground and turn the steering wheel- that way you can control the rate of flushing the fluid from new reservoir into the old one, to minimise spills and entraining air.
I flushed about 1.25L

PS If your fluid is red/brown then probably someone has previously used the wrong fluid. Jules

The engine shouldn't be started until the air is purged out, as the PS pump is super fragile and air trapped in the vanes can cause rapid wear. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Nice fresh green liquid just what we like to see should be ok now for at least two years, as nodge mentioned make sure all the air is purged out

Good idea about removing the light for better access will do this in the future
