Was my pump changed

I bought my 2014 SE Tech SD4 a couple of weeks ago and asked the dealer if the water pump and timing belt had been changed. They confirmed it was and have paperwork showing such.

I have looked at the paperwork in more detail and from what I can see only the timing belt was changed, not the pump.

I have attached the receipt for info. Have I technically miss sold?

Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

Looking at LR032526 online
https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-LR032526?se...gLCcvD_BwE
It seems that this is the timing belt kit - less waterpump, is it would appear that this has not been replaced. Strange decision imho.

Do you have anything in writing to say they changed the water pump ? I'm guessing not. Jules

For the price of the part you would expect the water pump to have been included.
The Gates kit including pump and bolt is around £100 Jules

Well interestingly I emailed the dealer, who is closed at the weekend, so wasn’t expecting a reply.

Had previously been speaking to them about the car battery as was getting the low battery shutdown warning so had replaced the battery with a new one. Dealer wanted old battery back to test and would refund cost of the new one if it was past it’s best.

Dealer replied explaining that this had been a misunderstanding as it was an assumption that the pump was done at the same time as is the norm, however it was out with the service schedule (vehicle is 8.5 years old) - have to wonder why the belt was changed at all.

Either way, the money is being transferred for the new battery as we speak (without me needing to drive all the way over with the old battery). Which is an apology I suppose. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

Sod the battery, get them to fit a new pump they said it had been done that's false description. Common sense isn't very common.

It's not the cost of the pump that is the issue its having to strip it all down again to fit it. Why would any garage change just the belt and not the waterpump?, ridiculous, unless the previous owner refused to have it done.
A seized waterpump is as likely to wreck an engine as a broken timing belt, same end result. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

As said above the kit quoted would have included a water pump and given the labour costs I would have thought it included the item being fitted inclusive of anti freeze etc. Get someone to phone the garage to get a price and to ask if it includes fitting a new pump. If the cost is the same as yours then hopefully all ok conversely if more expensive then you have a discussion with them. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.
