I bought my 2014 SE Tech SD4 a couple of weeks ago and asked the dealer if the water pump and timing belt had been changed. They confirmed it was and have paperwork showing such.

For the price of the part you would expect the water pump to have been included.

I do actually - email from them confirming when it was done. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues 2019 DS. Terribly unreliable. Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed.... Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎 Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be… |

Well interestingly I emailed the dealer, who is closed at the weekend, so wasn’t expecting a reply.

Sod the battery, get them to fit a new pump they said it had been done that's false description. Common sense isn't very common.

It's not the cost of the pump that is the issue its having to strip it all down again to fit it. Why would any garage change just the belt and not the waterpump?, ridiculous, unless the previous owner refused to have it done.

As said above the kit quoted would have included a water pump and given the labour costs I would have thought it included the item being fitted inclusive of anti freeze etc. Get someone to phone the garage to get a price and to ask if it includes fitting a new pump. If the cost is the same as yours then hopefully all ok conversely if more expensive then you have a discussion with them. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.
