A fitting has failed causing coolant to leak onto the alternator electrics. I've replaced the alternator but the main dealer is taking forever to respond to emails.

Had exactly same issue a couple of years or so ago, LR have modified the pipe, got one (genuine) on next day delivery from Duckworth, Market Rasen. Sorry can't remember price & part no. but it wasn't expensive. Parts guy extremely helpful and knew straight away which pipe when described to him. There are some posts on this if you do a search, including a mod. where a deflection plate was installed beneath the connection to block which prevents water dripping on to alternator should the issue arise again. To date not had any issues with the modified pipe supplied & fitted. |
