Just wondering if anyone might be able to help?

The driver's door control panel is dead! No electric windows or wing mirrors. All other doors ok.

I've checked the fuse in the boot FA1 25A. (driver door controls).
Also checked F17 7.5A in the passenger fuse box. (interior lighting)

Any ideas?

I don’t know if the unit can be prised up and out to see if the connections are ok,if not the door panel comes off quite easy.

It won't lift up. Take the door trim panel off. Easy enough to do.

There are 4 screws facing into the car, 2 are (1 or 2, failing memory!) behind the handle trim, a couple of butter knives are handy here. A firm sharp tug to get the cover off.

A fifth screw on the trailing edge of the door. There are 2 different lengths so remember (label) where they go.

Do NOT pull the panel by the door pocket or you will snap the plastic welds.

Get under the bottom rear corner first & give sharp firm tug on trim panel. Pulling gingerly you will actually break more trim panel clips. Work along the bottom of panel, then up the sides.

Once clips are free, lift trim panel up a bit to free from door.

It's easier to have the window down, for when lining up to reinstall, especially for lining up door lock mechanism. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Ok, thanks. I'll have a look at getting the panel off and probably replacing the unit. They're about £40 on ebay.

Could just be the plug. Unplug & replug to clean contacts.

Once you have removed a trim panel, it's a piece of cake next time.


P.S. while at it, chuck in some acoustic foam in the back of the trim panel. It's a good place to start.

Ok thanks, is there any way of knowing it is the door control module or the Drivers Door Master Window Switches?

A suitable diagnostic reader will tell you if there are any issues. However a diagnostic reader will cost more than a replacement switch pack and door module, if you use second hand parts.
If it turns out to be a wiring fault, the money on parts will be wasted.

It's always sensible to have a full systems diagnostic device for these vehicles, as they're invaluable for finding faults like this. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

btw, what's the best way to find the right spare part, without taking the old part out? I've seen a few HSE DRIVER SIDE FRONT WINDOW SWITCH 6G9N 14A132 AC for sale, this looks exactly the right part but how would I know for sure without taking the old one out? Is there a website?

Try googling the part number. I find it often gives the answer somewhere. Also try Rimmer or Craddock's parts lists. That's how I found that some sensors having the same part numbers were different in different years.
