European Breakdown Cover - Over 15 years Old

I was rather worried that I could no longer get European breakdown cover for my 2007 Freelander 2 as it is now 16 years old. Most breakdown covers which will also cover a caravan will not quote for a car over 15 years old, and if they did it was very expensive and the van cover was quite limited.
That was until Green Flag have just changed their cover, currently this is extended to up 17 year old cars and this is soon to be further extended to 25 year old cars.
So the quote I got for annual European and UK breakdown cover and repatriation for car and van is only £135, which I thought was great.

Just returned from a 1200mile round trip to the French alps - landy was perfect, returned 38mpg which I thought was excellent - most of this was 80mph on the motorways and then a week of going up and down mountains.

I take it you didn't have the caravan on the back for this adventure?

Had similar concern with previous Discovery which was nearly 14 years old on its last trip to France. Caravan club wouldn't cover 15 year old cars.

Resolved that issue by changing to a 4 year old (now 9) Freelander.

Good to know about the greenflag, it's a bit cheaper than CC too. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I was with Driver Guardian for years (only switched to AA this year having got a decent deal through TopCashback) and pretty sure they don’t have any age restriction and that they do cover caravans.
Their UK and Europe car prices were way cheaper than everyone else
