I have the dreaded rear diff pinion bearing noise on my 2013 SD4 Freelander, the repair kit with bearings, seals etc. is about £100, however the 2 piece tool for holding the 41mm nut and the spline tool for unscrewing the pinion is about £160. Is there any tool hire companies that rent this tool or any of you guys in the Truro area of Cornwall have one l can borrow (or buy secondhand) as £160 is a lot to pay for something l will only use once (hopefully) in its lifespan.
