I had a dash cam with gps installed on the darkened area next to the rear view mirror. This is normally left transparent to rf radiation (gps and radio signals) so that tags used for tolls will work. The gps resolution was good enough to see which side of the road I was on. The camera itself looked below the darkened area, just in case someone thought that it wouldn’t see through the obscured area. |

I run a TomTom in the front of my 2013 HSE with no issues with the GPS signal MY13 HSE Lux Santorini Black Gone

Same here, heated windshield blocks the GPS signal.

The GPS signal on my phone (I like Google maps) is fine on my heated screen equipped freelander 2.
