Hi all
I wonder if anyone can help, I have a 2013 63 plate freelander2 hse luxury, and I and fitting a set of hella comet spotlights, I am trying to find the main beam feed to switch the lamps with the main beam, I have tested the wires at the plug on the back of the headlamps, but can't find the wire.
Any help wold be much appreciated

As you have a facelift model then it has a single bulb with a shutter to give you main beam/dip so its slightly more complicated. See this thread for more info https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic37889-15.html. Good luck!

You dont say what type of lights you have.
But later cars (like my 2014 SD4) have a single HID bulb or a single halogen (bad design) and a mechanical shutter to "dip" the light beam.
IIRC The wiring diagrams in the freebie JLR manual (page 3060 onwards) only go to year 2012 and the later cars had a few changes to the wiring so may or may not be correct.

I suppose it may turn out to be easier to run a wire from the steering column light switch to a relay to power your spots. Jules

Thanks to everyone who got back to me, I managed to get them working perfectly through a relay, powered from the battery and switched from the main beam feed,
