United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HST Auto Santorini Black
P2196-16 (39)

May have been covered but does my Freelander have a dpf , vin SALFA23BX8H103013
I have and still have a fault with the rgr and Maf and what seems like an o2 sensor , and from what I read the the the sensor has to be rectified before regen . I don't think this car has a dpf , if its suppose to then its been removed.

Quote:

Smoke and egr clean has killed the engine, undriveable MAf replaced also appeared as fault, now replaced.

The 8th character of your VIN:

    'A' = 3.2L 6 cyl petrol engine

    'B' = 2.2L diesel engine

    'C'= 2.2L diesel engine with DPF

Which tells me very little about my car… it does tell me there are errors in VIN positions 5, 7 & 8 but using the Topix VIN decode (link below) I can see that those positions in my VIN resolve as follows:

    Position 5 = Vehicle Class (mine = 'A' - Standard / 4WD
    Position 7 = Transmission & Steering (mine = 'A' - Automatic / RHD
    Position 8 = Engine (mine = 'E' - 2.2L Diesel with cDPF (high power) - 2011MY onwards

It is perhaps not then, the best VIN decoder in the world.

See Here for a JLR specific VIN decode (from Topix and posted by 'Sadler32')

Ok many thanks , no dpf .
So found 2 chaffed wires on lambda loom engine side which carry 2.8v is it possible that this enough to kill the lambda as well?

That could do it! Thanks for coming back with the causes of your problem.

No problem not enough problems resolved by recording what resolved the issues. Kicking myself for not finding out sooner after spending on Maf and Lambda replacement. Not only that , a bit of de- ja vous with looking at previous history I replaced this 2 years ago.Shocking and embarrassed!
