Timing Belt

Just had new timing belt, water pump and ancillaries changed by a local garage known to me at an all in price of £441 using Gates stuff. Not displeased as dealers wanted north of £700. Car 8 years old and has 59,000 on the clock. Peace of mind as I intend to keep the car for another few years. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

The Gates kit and new antifreeze will set one back over £100, so the rest is labour - not bad Jules

That is an excellent price for belts, makes you wonder why bother doing it yourself, i suppose you know it's been done right, do let us know if water pump stays ok after six months.
