Dont know much about the six cylinder engine but from what you describe I would be looking at coolant temperature sensor, as it runs ok when warm, any DTC codes ? 2013 FL2 XS.

Welcome to Freel2,

Note: most owners here are diesel powered.

Like you I have a 3.2 powered by that other liquid.

I've owned mine since new in 2008.

Here is what I would do if I were you

1. Replace the PCV because a broken PCV will allow oil to get past the valve and that will foul the sparkplugs. Because of the way the gases/oil is routed it goes to 6,5,4,3,2,1 in that order

2. Replace the sparkplugs with Denso Iridium TT sparkplugs

3. Swap the coils 1,2,3 with 4,5,6 to confirm that the coil is not the problem

4. The Thermostat in the 3.2 only lasts about 10 years so you should replace it

Good luck

Paul
