swirl flaps

im interested in finding out if newer air inlets without the swirl flaps fitted will fit my 2008 td4??
im wanting to ditch the time bomb swirl flaps,, anyone done it? i realise you can remove swirl flaps with a bit of surgery but i have the chance to buy a newer inlet without flaps fitted, cheers Thumbs Up

The later manifold fits fine, as it's a swirl flap manifold without the swirl flaps fitted.
You can also simply remove the flaps from your current manifold as I did, which is cheaper to do. Thumbs Up
Don't forget that you'll need replacement sealing rings for the manifold when it's refitted. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Also note that the same part is used on Jaguar, Citroen and Peugeot, so you can save a few shekels that way. Current driveway contents:
