Satnav query

Like a lot of you I think the satnav is rubbish.
I do have a 2020/2021 disc fitted and slightly better.
My question.
My Tom Tom has a rubber sucker for the windscreen.
If I stuck it onto the satnav screen would that be wise?
Thoughts please Jim A

Thanks Jules. Have a phone cradle i can use. Waiting on a plugin unit with two sockets and two USB connections.
This so i can have camera and tomtom on at same time.
Tend to use the tomtom for checking speed rather than the speedometer. Jim A

As the question has been answered, just to hijack the thread slightly.

Is there any way to get the sat nav screen to open as the clock?

The 1 irritation I have is the nav screen defaults to the menu, rather than the nav or the clock.

I actually don't find the factory nav too bad, I also have the latest disc. It's better at avoiding congestion or closed roads than Google maps, which was a shock.
I know the GUI is a bit clunky, but the navigation I find is spot on. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

sat nav

I have built in a Tom-Tom and it works fine apart from needing an update.

When I drive my wife's nearly new Vauxhall with factory nav I miss the speed limits + road speed (that I have on the Tom-Tom).

Question - if I upgrade my FL2 to a 2013-14 SD4 will the nav show road speed and limits?

The cost is £99.99 (if you require this on a USB stick) or £89.99 if you have a USB stick that you can load it to from the down load.

My 2013 SD4 with its ex factory original software doesn't provide speed limits, camera warnings or road speed. That I know of anyway.

Being original too, a lot of the time, any resemblance between the map (and its concomitant verbal guidance) and the reality on the ground is pure coincidence. New roundabouts, roundabouts that no longer exist, new slip roads, new junctions, new bypasses, new one way systems etc.
