So, the front hose gave up on me today. Luckily it was a short journey and I only noticed when I parked that coolant was leaking under the car.
It's part number LR005564. Just wondering if it's easy enough to change myself as I can get the part , or alternatively seeing whether I can get the garage to change the hose instead of doing the gearbox flush I'm booked in for next week..

When I replaced my Thermostat I also replaced this hose.

It wasn't easy to get to or remove.

The Gray part has to rotate to release the hose from the metal pipe. I think I ended up breaking the plastic to get it to release.

With the AC compressor removed and the bracket under the compressor removed you can see the hose.

It looks do-able enough. Just a shame the vehicle is on the road and not round the back on hard standing under cover, which would make things far easier - especially in the heat we're having here in the UK.
I can't get the part until Monday, but hopefully I'll have it all apart, so It's just a case of refitting everything and hopefully I'll make my garage appointment on Wednesday.

What a PITA !
Managed to get to the hose. Just waiting for the new one to arrive some time Monday before I can fit it . Then it's just the fun and games of re-assembling everything !

Thanks Paul, that link has really helped. As I have the A/C bracket off, I was going to clean it up and try and reset the idler pulley before refitting it. But, it seems it'll be much easier to do when it's reattached to the motor !
Yes, it would've saved me time getting everything all off yesterday, but hey, yesterday's gone and today is another day ! Onwards and upwards , as they say. (I'd like to know who "they" are, as they seem to have a lot to say for themselves regarding nearly every subject on earth !).

I’ve owned my 3.2 for 14.5 years and it is my first LAND ROVER

Recently I purchased my second SUV and it isn’t a LAND ROVER. My decision was based on cost. The Velar was too much and the Range Rover Sport was even more expensive.

Note this doesn’t mean that the LR2 is going away but it does mean that my Daughter will be the primary driver.

And it also meant that I had to let the LR2 know.

To the best of my ability to understand the LR2 it replied with a becoming smile. The same type of smile you would see on my face after my boss told me that I wouldn’t be doing something I hated anymore.

At some level the LR2 prefers the outdoors to a confined garage
