PTU drain plug

Just been to LR today to purchase crush washer for PTU plug.
Happened to mention no drain plug and he said there was one Shocked
So asked him for evidence and he produced a print out that clearly shows drain plug. I have not looked at my PTU yet so cannot definitely say there is/is not a drain plug Shocked
I also asked him to double check he had given me the right diagram which he indicated was correct.
So according to diagram drain plug is bottom left side at front of PTU. It uses exactly same bolt and washer as fill plug (bolt 3L010 and washer HW1)
I will endeavour to add diagram given to me.

I would be very surprised judging by the hundreds of comments on here and the lack of knowledge of dealers . Why else would it be such a problem to change oil

The parts diagram from LR is in fact showing a drain plug, but there isn't one in real life

I drilled and tapped mine, M8 is perfect. I used an M10. The indent is clearly on the case but did not come from the factory with a drain plug.

JLR must have thought why drain the oil whilst still under warranty - lets remove the drain plugs from PTU and rear diff, save some money and kid the customers it doesnt matter. Jules

Use Dowty washers. They're cheap, available in many sizes, and never leak. Thumbs Up Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
