In the UK what is labelled as honey often isn't what you think it is.

Honey is the world's 3rd most adulterated foodstuff. Honey adulteration is occurring on a global industrial scale.

As an amateur beekeeper I spend a lot of time explaining why cheap supermarket honey is not the same as honey from the UK. Jules

^^^ Yes, I remember this from a few years back,
Tighter control on imports and labelling,
a lot of customers just look at the price and not the origins or quality. DAVE.

I watched a video on Youtube about beekeeping.
An amateur beekeeping set-up was around the £10K mark ! With no guarantee of any honey harvest.
Not that I'm interested in beekeeping myself, but during lock down I became fascinated by the different varieties of bees in my garden and would often watch them them with interest on one of my bushes.
Sorry I don't have anything practical to add to the conversation.

We always buy the local honey, costs more but al it’s got in it is regurgitated nectar

We have new neighbours, well they bought the house two years ago and only seen them visit once so far but apparently the wife is a Bee Keeper, so looking forward to that……..eventually. Regards
