I presume thats 100K kilometers - so not much really (only 62k miles) - racks should last much much longer.

Complete rubbish. The steering rack on these is good for much longer than 9 years and 60k Miles. My own is rack is 14 years old with 130k miles on it, without any signs of leaking or wear. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. Gone. Audi A5 convertible, my daily driver. 1972 Hillman Avenger GT, the project. |

Had mine replaced last year on 145000 miles and 15 years old, supplied and fitted by local old school mechanic for £350.00, seem to remember it's a Ford rack. Common sense isn't very common.
