Nice, fancy doing mine? Common sense isn't very common.

Very neat. I’m going to have a go doing that on my Evoque. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Have done this myself a year ago with no problems. All I am going to say is use a good quality tap |

Absolutely. I bought the tap set specially for this job and used the handle from my old general tap set. Jules |

Useful photo, thanks. Magnetic plug is a good idea. It maybe relatively easy to slide a bit of tubing inside from the new hole, along the bottom, to suck up the last bit of oil. But I dont need to worry about that for a while now - hopefully. Jules |

I put a powerful magnet on the drain plug |

I’d always be worrying that a loose magnet may detach itself from the plug and get chewed up amongst the gears. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Ive just put one of those powerful magnets from a computer hard drive onto the plug - might work - time will tell. Jules |
