I never use Recorded Delivery, but rather the Special Delivery service. It gets the package there by midday the following day and it has to be signed for. If it is valuable, you can choose also to spend a bit extra to insure it.

I've not had any problem with updated tracking re Royal Mail to Canada; they are quite efficient with the updates for international shipments. Canada Post international is also pretty accurate but locally, they suck. Now, DHL/FedEx/Dynamite(?) from the UK to Canada, simply amazing. |

He only time we’ve used tracking is when the recipient wants proof of delivery tracking, if something is valuable either monetary or sentimentally we always use RM special delivery, personally I’ve sent hundreds of packages using this method and never had a problem. Regards
