Sat Nav initialising message 2013 LR2

My Sat Nav isn’t working and has the ‘unnamed road’ message in the main menu and then stays at ‘Sat Nav initialising- please wait’ message.

Has anyone had this and managed a fix or is it a terminal HDD problem? Would be interested to find out, any responses much appreciated! Cheers Jonny

I wonder if taking out the disc and giving it a clean would work

Dont think 2013 has a disc. My LR is 2014 & it has a hard drive instead. 2014 Freelander 2 HSE Orkney Grey. Now sold.

I keep pushing the escape button but I am still here.

Thanks, as blueboy says it doesn’t have the disc under the drivers seat like the older ones.

after I updated my nav, the initialize period is much shorter.
Of course without codes it is hard to diagnose. The gps antennae is a known sore point. Guy Pensa
