I replaced the screws with some new 10g, I think, could have been 12g Phillips Head screws from the hardware store & a large washer. Unscrew the other side to check size. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I changed all the clips and screws to stainless, replacing most of the screws with bolts and penny washers. Mainly because I've got loads of stainless stuff after helping to clear out an industrial unit for a friend - he was going to put it all in a skip !! Jules |

I did use stainless, but the problem with stainless is galvanic corrosion. It will cause steel to rust. Better off using hot dipped galvanized screws.
