I think Adam is away at the moment - not active on any of the forums these last 3 weeks or so and hasn't seen my PM. Current driveway contents:

Thankyou for the quick responses. I have two keys however one has been sat in a drawer for years (I've not long owned the vehicle) and the 2nd key took quite a nasty fall, and has started working intermittently. |

It might be a good idea to update your profile as well, so we know what year/model you are talking about. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

I have used these people when I left the key in my jeans pocket and my OH accidentally washed and tumble dried my Freelander 2 (2014) 5 button smart key, they supplied and coded the key to the car, £140 (that was a few years ago) including coding to the car which I thought was a good deal compared to LR price. The key is exactly the same just no LR logo. He does do a supply only price but you would need to take it to be coded.

Thanks for the suggestions. However the service in which RRUK provides is a key refurbishment for £49.99. Im trying to avoid paying £280 for two new keys when I can potentially get both refurbished for £100, from what I have read he is highly recommended. |

I believe he just transfers your internals to a new fob. So you need a coded key to start with.

If you just need a cover for the guts LR078922 I got one as the rubber was delaminating on one on my keys. I can't remember the price, but it was cheap enough. Should have got a spare at the time. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
