My Kosrae Green FL2

It's taken me a while to sort a post out, but I've now enjoyed 2 months with my FL2. it's been different from my old motor (X3M Comp), is obviously slower, but I don't worry anywhere near as much about parking it, or a wet dog getting in it and has now been across a very wet field twice where the old motor got stuck when it was semi-dry. I also had some noise above 50, which was sorted with a tyre change.

So far, the only job I've done, is change the horrible china tyres out for a set of Pirella Scorpion AS. They've been great, but not my original choice. Essentially on a Friday, 250 miles from home, I had 2 of the china tyres (that it came with) fail. So off to get new ones and these were my only option for 4. Ideally, i'd have had GG AT3's (although I'm not even sure you can get them for the 19" wheel).

Future jobs after Christmas are:

Full Service (it's already had it's cambelt done) and inspection from a local independant LR specialist - booked 5th Jan
Book into Bell for the Haldex service and diff inspection (nothing against my local, but my theory is now is the time to forge a relationship with Bell Engineering given the reputation they have)
Find someone to fit a new headunit from the original sat nav (god I miss Apple Car Play / Bluetooth audio and better nav)
Dog Crate - I need a half crate that doesn't rattle. My old crate doesn't fit properly and has to be rotated 90degrees taking up too much boot space. (any recommedations please)
Full Body inspection for any signs of rust etc
Gearbox Service (I don't believe it's ever had one) - are these worth while
Rubber boot liner
Change the terrible mats, which are supposedly LR originals according the label, but they move way too much
Headlights... Oh the headlights. Either bulbs or new units....

Any other jobs people recommend?

As above, lovely colour. Gearbox flush from specialist certainly made mine less jerky engaging drive/reverse and smoother changing. The tyre you chose get good reviews, think I will be up for a set of them in the new year. I have same issue with my mats and will put some rug/carpet anti slip tape on them when I get a chance, think it should solve the movement.

If you have Projector Lenses go for these/ https://www.hids4u.co.uk/
Not strictly legal but many folk on here have them and have MOT passes. They certainly make night driving safer. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Suggest changing interior lights to LED esp boot light . 're Headlights , HID units or HID conversion are only effective solutions. FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey

Beautiful and rare colour. I've put Scorpion Verde on mine, good handling and low noise levels Previous

Ref the inspection of the subframe, from my untrained eye, it looks to have already been done. It seems to be in very good condition underneath as is all the dark grey/black colour I've seen on a friends Defender that was waxoyl'd. However, it's one of the jobs for when it's in for service to have it all inspected.

Thanks for all of the suggestions on the lights. I'll start the search.

That’s her dropped off for a service and inspection. I’m hopeful that given it’s service history and clean MOT record I won’t be getting a list of problems back.

Update* Service completed, inspection completed, all good. Chassis is in great condition (a relief), service carried out and all in working order. Over the moon haha. Now off to look at my upgrade list.
