TF is what we have, and it's part of the reason I'm keeping it. There's another TF LR2 in our neighborhood.
Likewise, plenty of power. It tows really well even in mountains, with a 3500# trailer and a full cabin. Only time it slows down is in summer heat at high elevations on a steep climb but I'd probably need a big turbo V8 to avoid that. By mountains, I mean Sierra Nevadas and Rockies. I don't think any of the diesel options would work as well for towing in mountains (not that we have the option here). Still going strong at 150K, although I'm about to do a DIY compression check and borescope of the cylinders... I'm planning on having some paint and body work done and wanted to be sure the engine is solid before I invest in that. |
