I replaced all my flexible hoses recently, together with the caliper carriers when I upgraded the front brakes and used ordinary sockets and spanners.

I dont see how you could attach a torque wrench to a brake pipe fitting so I dont know if torque values are quoted. So I nip the connections up and check for weeping when bleeding the brakes.

My reading on these spanners is that cheap flare spanners tend to open up and round off the flats because they dont have much wall thickness compare to an open ended spanner. Jules |

Probably a misundertsanding... I have no intention of using a torque wrench on the union. Just wondering how difficult( tight) it might be to get it off! Thanks R |
