freelander 2 not starting

Hi i have a 2007 freelander 2 , this morning it started then cut out, after about 10 yards, now it won't start, it turns over but won't fire up, display says reduced engine performance? any advice please

First place to start would be to read the codes
If its saying reduced performance then it will have a code to go with that

One thing that may be worth swapping just because is the crank sensor

When you try and start the engine, look at the rev counter. If it is showing something like 300 rpm, your crank sensor is probably ok. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.
