Auto gear box drain plug

hi all , does any body now what size star bit i need for the automatic gearbox drain plug is as i want to do a dump and fill over the next few weeks . 2009 FL2 S now gone

United States 2008 LR2 i6 S Auto Tambora Flame

This thread lists the tools.

17mm hex (not star) for the main drain plug.
T40 for the level plug.

Make sure you undo the filler first - it can be very tight. Or you could end up with an ATF-less box and no way to fill it. Jules

Extender bars to get it up out of the engine bay was a must for me... pig of a thing.

I agree fill plug should always be first

The fill plug is T55

And it will likely be very tight.
