Used car values are on the up at the moment - dont know how long it will last though.

WBAC valued my 19 plate Fiesta at £2K more than I paid for it 18 months ago - crazy Jules

Out of curiosity I got WBAC to value my Freelander start of this week (2013 XS SD4 with approx 73,000 miles)
They came back with £9,770 first off but had an update today now up to a round £10K - all a bit lower than I hopped but no matter as no intention of parting with it. Andrew

The only problem of course , is that anything else you want to buy will , if it’s a used car , also have risen in price . As my mate who used to sell cars for a living used to tell me , the only thing that matters is the cost to change . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

2016 Subaru Outback SE 2.0 diesel SE Premium Lineartronic Sold 2024 after 8 years and 80k miles . Best Car I ever owned !

2023 Toyota Hilux invincible X 2.8 Auto .

Indeed. Its fine if you can do without having to buy a replacement. Jules

Just because WBAC have offered that - thats no where near what you will actual get - as they assume that the car will be in absolute perfect conditions - tyre tread a full 6mm, alloys in perfect nick.
Before you know it the value will drop to around 80% of what you have been offered on line.
Thats my experience anyway

On the plus side if the car does have a fault - like diff issues then best get shot of it to them as they don't test drive the car.

Yes, a work colleague sold his Merc SLK to WBAC. It had a horribly noisy rear diff and had been quoted £2K by an Indy to replace it. But WBAC just took it at face value. Jules

Hi,

sold our other car to wbac and they paid Exactly what the offer on line was Thumbs Up

they do knock you if you dont declare damage or if you put scuff on wheel and there is really a chuck out of it,
while we were there a guy had said scuff on 2 wheels when all 4 were Censored he got knocked

they also work on Exact miles so put what you will be at, when at their site

they also have in their small print that "any un-declared faults" they can recover costs on or some wording like that so be care full if it does have major faults it could come back to bite you Question
but no they dont road test them just on a transporter and off to the auction, the more £££ it is the more they will check it.

but as already said its price to change unless you can sit and wait till next spring Question when the prices have dropped back Question

Thumbs Up .
my first ever FL2 and I did keep it longer than most other cars!
But its now gone way up Norf
