freelander 2 EGR Valve

I replaced the EGR valve on my 2014 freelander 2 about a month ago (66,000 Miles) and all was fine until this week when an amber engine management message activated on the warning panel, on investigation it indicated Code P245A-77 Intermittent exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) cooler bypass control circuit.
I have decided to fit a new cooler with the actuator instead of just the actuator repair kit as the cooler will need to be removed anyway.
My question is, after fitting the cooler does the actuator need to be setup by Landrover or should it work fine after installation

Did you tell the car a new EGR valve had been fitted? When I changed mine on my 2010, I stumbled across a 'new EGR valve has been fitted' function on my Foxwell unit's maintenance screen. I'm no expert but might be worth doing that first - if you haven't already. FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green

How easy was it ? I recently replaced a brake pipe that ran along the scuttle. Getting down the back of the engine was really awkward. I had to lie/kneel on top of the engine. Jules
