Wales 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey
hello

Hello, I have just bought my first LR it's a 2010 Freelander 2 HSE. It's high mileage at 125000 but it does have FSH and is well cared for. Everything worked on the test drive and the dealer is fixing the two MOT advisories and replacing the timing belt so hopefully, I shall be picking it up this week.

125k is nothing for these vehicles, there are plenty about with twice that mileage on them.

Seems strange it's that it's got FSH and apparently well cared for, but it's 3 years late for the timing belt change. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Or a year early if it was changed in year 7. When did TD4 change from 10 to 7 years for timing belt?

Thanks to all for the messages and tips and checks to make before purchase. Following your advice
I had the following checks made rear prop in place a full size spare wheel and the rear subframe is sound.
This is the work completed by the dealer before handover
Cam belt and water pump kit fitted
Haldex unit new pump and filters fitted.
Front brake pads renewed

I picked her up yesterday lunchtime and love the car, it's just a pity I didn't buy one years ago. Very Happy

Hi rockerbox,
I'd not be too worried about that mileage Very Happy I have the same year and spec and have done just over 136K.
