Question about my Haldex unit

Hi I have recently purchased a freelander 2011 sd4 auto and I got the transmission fault reduced traction msg.
I took it back to the garage who have put it in the local Land Rover dealers they are replacing the haldex pump.
My question is should I remove and strip and clean the haldex unit when I get the vehicle back from the dealers ?
the vehicle has done 42k miles

thanks in advance
Mike

You'd like to think that when replacing the pump they will also change the filter and it will have to be filled with new oil so that's basically job done. At 42k it shouldn't be so manky that it will need the clutch plates taken apart to individually clean them. I'd check with the garage, see if they will instruct LR to change the filter and if not pay for that to be done yourself as an extra. You should then be good for another 40k miles. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I see you're near St Ives, so where have they taken it?
if it's Steve Toyer at Penryn, then I would imagine by his reputation he would do the job correctly,
if it is him a quick chat would help elevate your concerns, DAVE.
