United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Stornoway Grey
Coding out the auto lock option ?

I have a 2010 FL2 GS which auto locks all the doors, Is it possible to get this coded out ? I'd like to be able to unlock all five doors on the key and for them to stay unlocked until I use the fob again.

Thanks in advance

There is a method in the handbook that allows you to either have just the drivers door open or all at the same time.

However either option will automatically auto lock after a period of time (? mins) IF a door has not been opened.

The only way I get round this is to use the remote and open a door and then close it thus door/s will stay unlocked.

Hope this helps as im not sure regarding the coding side of it.

I have disabled the auto lock on driving away, on my 2 jags and the Freelander using the JLR software. From memory it's in the dealer options / setup. My car doesn't auto lock if I don't open the door within a specified time. Hope this helps

If you are talking about auto re-locking of car if a door is not opened after it has been key-fob unlocked, then the answer is to briefly open and close a door.

If you are talking about auto drive-away locking, then it is a dealer option on earlier models, and an instrument panel set up on later post MY13 models.

As set out in these handbooks available on Freel2 site
