Farming advice ....

I'm hoping that CG will be able to answer this question ...

Over the last few weeks I've noticed large amount of cultivated fields being covered in huge amounts of plastics, usually in huge strips across the fields. Is this plastic and what is its purpose? Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!

its veg growing. the plastic protects to crops from late frosts , and also acts as a greenhouse to speed up growth and get the product ready faster. The plastic either bio-degrades or is rolled up depends what system the farmer chooses. At work
