Ring BOC . They will have a local depot . 90% certainty it will be one of theirs . Tell them you have found a bottle of Acetylene in the garage . The cylinder is their property * and they have a duty of care to retrieve it . Donโt mention the cylinders you gave to the barbecue man

All acetylene cylinders contain a porous honeycomb material called a monolithic mass. They also contain a solvent (acetone) which is absorbed by the porous mass. The acetylene dissolves in the acetone and holds the acetylene in a stable condition.

If you look at the valve on the top - you need a square key to open a BOC bottle.
