Fitting A Genuine but second hand freelander 2 Tow Bar

Hi i have recently purchased a 2009 freelander 2
i have found a second hand genuine tow bar and electrics with all the original plugs still attached and i have also got a second hand towing module. I've spent hours looking all over the internet and now found this page.
I'm hoping you can help
i know how to fit the tow bar however can i just plug the electrics into the towing module and then the towing module into the freelander 2 and off i go or does the module need programming? i do not have parking/reversing sensors on the freelander.

thanks in advance

Remove the rear bumper and it should be apparent where the towbar attaches to. Depends on the type of module whether it needs coded or not. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Pre MY13 cars need their towing electrics ‘enabling' to get the full benefit of oem electrics. You'll need a dealer / independent or anybody with the ability.

There’s plenty of info scattered around the forum - search “tow bar electrics”
