Today I have experienced a problem that I'm lost with. Firstly my car alarm sounded when I opened the drivers door, though I thought it was locked as the door mirrors were out. I then noticed the following;

Parking Sensors not working, no audible warning.
Reversing camera not working.
Until screen powers on
No radio.
No sat nav, though one can try to set up it's just states initiating.
Boot fuses that supply these are all ok.

dodgy battery maybe ? i know when the voltage levels are getting a bit low , it can cause some weird electrical issues

Thank you for your reply. The battery is only a month old, thou' I know a new item can fail too. However it cranks and starts fine which I've always found to cause problems with a low battery. Does anyone know if the parking sensors/reversing camera/sat nav receives it supplies from the touch screen unit?

The touch screen goes blank when reverse is selected as if it looking for an input.
Radio/audio/sat nav displays are all in soft font wording as if out of use.

I wonder if there's a loom plug that may have come loose? Would a d/load be of any use? I did dis-connect the battery in the hope it might have re-booted the unit, but it didn't. All fuses ok.

I really don’t know if it will help but there’s an electrical connector in the passenger footwell that often gets displaced and can cause problems it’s just a thought.

may be worth taking to somewhere near you that can check the battery voltage when cranking , it may have enough to turn over the engine , but if the voltage drops just a little then it can cause strange happenings with other electrical systems , i think its called a 'load test' ?

I think if you feel up around the top and behind the carpet it’s somewhere there.

Glove box out may be an option.

Yes found a number of looms, tugged and pushed but no change. Do you where the parking sensors get their supply from as I can not find a fuse? Sensor off switch doesn't light up either when reverse selected.

Just getting back to OP and if it has a fault you might be better trying to sort it?

Park with plenty of room around you so there Should be nothing for the sensors to pick up
Ignition on, dash switch should not be flashing think that does if there's a fault,
Select reverse and all should be quiet?
If you get bleeping or a solid tone suggests faulty sensor (or housing Whistle ) back into neutral
If all quiet again it seems to be Rear sensor issue if noise continues its Front sensor issue
(as you say still bleeping when driving off?)
If you can narrow down front or rears then check the sensors are Secure in the housing which is fasten to the bumper, if the sensor is not square and firmly clipped into the housing it can pick up the housing as an object to near Big Cry
You can listen to each sensor for clicking the rears can be swapped around to see if it's the sensor not working
(no matter which position it's in still does not click, or the wiring to it if the swapped sensor is now quiet)

At the rear , drivers side tucked under the back bumper is a connector that joins the sensor loom to the main loom . If you separate that the rear sensors will be disabled .

Wiggling cables won't do a thing, the plugs are too firmly fixed. Disconnect the battery, then actually pull each cable out & put them back in. You can't put any back in the wrong socket.

Also remove fuses, but take a photo first of their location.

As said above, take glove box out. Always a bit of a pest putting it back in even though I have done it dozens of times. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

There's what looks like 3x modules behind a plastic cover in the passenger footwell does anyone know what these are? I've noticed that the parking sensor switch is illuminated ~ steady lamp. No clicking from the sensors front or rear.

Does anyone know if the touch screen unit is a power source for other items? Fuses is luggage compartment all ok and have live supply.

I would have to look up the manual.

But the basics, is to pull out every fuse. I once had a bit on corrosion on a fuse. Simply pulling it out & putting it back in fixed the problem.

Start with the basics. Good electrical contacts..... & while at it use a multimeter!

Also worth a try and often suggested with electrical problems on these cars is to do a hard reset by disconnecting the battery and holding the +ve and -ve terminals together for about 10 seconds. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
