We've had two complete assemblies replaced on two Fl2's , sorry I can't remember the price but I think it's a couple of hours labour at worst . I guess at around £100 per side at a LR specialist . Our first assembly was fitted at a LR specialist and they said the best option was a complete assembly over having a new bearing pressed into the old assembly.

seems I was correct in assuming my rumbling noise was front wheel bearings, bought a pair online for £85, got a garage to fit them, 2 hours labour £70 + vat, car drives like new, so quiet as well now. |

Sorry, did you purchase the entire assemblies or just a pair of bearings and have them pressed in? |

in hindsight (perhaps) , made the mistake of just getting the hub and not the entire assembly, BUT the garage had the equipment to take old ones out etc, a job worth doing I feel !
