I wonder if problems I am having are related. The car starts, runs and stops fine. However, I keep getting these codes popping up together and reading your thread made me wonder if there was a common fault causing these. I wonder if you could help?

P176F-85 (79) Clutch pedal B - Clutch position sensor correlation - Bus signal/message failure - signal is above allowable range
P0915-29 (29) Gearshift position - circuit range/performance - General signal failure - signal is invalid
P164C-00 (29) Internal control module start-stop performance
P164C-00 (29) Internal control module start-stop performance

Hi RRBlue
You appear to have quite a few signal issues. I'm afraid these faults are beyond my expertise.
As far as my motor is concerned, the fault is still there but code has gone. Live data suggests everything is working therefore I am lost. Recently had the car at a Landrover specialist garage, for that fault and a long crank before starting issue, both with no codes. Garage had the car for ten weeks and even contacted LR for advice. Could not find the issue and finally gave up.
Car still working with both issues. Can't do anything until it throws a code.

Hope someone with more knowledge will chip in on your issue. Thumbs Up Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

Just trying to clear up some of my posts.
The non operation of the Stop Start was linked to the poor starting issue.
The problem was the main earth cable that runs from the battery to the starter motor bolt. Although it looks ok it must have deteriorated inside the insulation.
The original factory cable is rated at 170 amps, I have just replaced it with one rated at 240 amps.
First drive out, Stop Start working again.

Starting only slightly better, another new starter motor required for that fix I think.

One thing at a time though. Thumbs Up Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !

Freelander now gone.
