Audio system and reversing sensors not working

Hi, my first post here - I’m hoping some kind person will be able to help me!
The audio system in my freelander has always been rather a law unto itself - often refusing to switch off, volume on loud and not able to turn it down, the screen being lit up even when it’s not on (draining the battery overnight when I didn’t realise!) and being unable to turn it off etc.
A while ago the radio/cd player just stopped working - no light on, nothing - just dead.
At the same time, the reversing sensors stopped working.
I’ve replaced the F6 fuse under the glovebox but it didn’t help.
Does anyone have any ideas, please? I’m certainly no mechanic, so I guess if it’s anything serious it’ll have to go to a garage.
Thank you! Smile

There’s a fuse in the boot for the CD player.

If it's any consolation, mine aren't working either. I get a beep when the ignition is first turned on, and if I press the dash switch, it light just flashes a few times.
I suspect the control module has failed in mine, as the diagnostic comes up with no power to the PDC front and rear. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

It does sound similar, though there is no sign of life whatsoever from mine. Annoyingly, as well as silent car journeys, I have a CD in there which I can’t get out!
I haven’t had the diagnostics but might try that as well. Thank you!

Hello again,
I’ve still had no luck getting the cd/radio and reversing beepers working. The fuse box in the boot looks nothing like the one in the manual! If anyone has any more ideas I’d be grateful. Thanks!

Did you actually pull the fuses out. I have had one situation where there was a bit of corrosion on the fuse blade contact. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Emma,

Your fuse box seems to be missing the lower portion.

Take care

Paul
