Just had my renewal though from Directline, cheaper than last year and less then all the others. Common sense isn't very common.

I'm so glad I live in Cornwall, with a TR postcode. Insurance is low for me, although being over 50 also a factor too I suspect. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Just gone through the charade of AA upping premium by 20% notwithstanding no claims and reduced mileage. Renewed with Tesco Bank at £229 with protected NCD and £100 excess on top of £100 compulsory excess and got points on my Tesco card. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Think I paid £200 in October with protected NCB and £80 total excess with Quotemehappy (Aviva). Steve

All of my kids used to put their mother on the insurance as a named driver as it reduced the premium. She was on numerous cars, pickup trucks and Porsche 911s. Then she turned 70 and it no longer worked. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

These insurance quote examples are meaningless with quoting the total excess to pay in the event of an accident |

Never found the voluntary excess makes a difference so always end up going with zero if its available, or just go with the minimum.
