Put Autobox in Neutral when Battery is down

Hi all,
I have the battery of my FL2 Auto down and I'm still recharge it cause it was very low (next problem in understanding the consumptio, it was only 1.5 year old). I have the necessity to push back the car but I can't find the way to free the gearbox. The lever is stuck on P position and also pushing the button it doesn't move and I don't want insist. I can't find any indication on the manual but I remember in the Disco there was a hidden spot where it was possible to release the parking needle and free the wheels.

All suggestion are well accepted, in the meantime I order on amazon a backup booster...

Cheers to all

If you carefully remove the console trim around the lever , you will find a yellow plastic toggle which will allow you to manually override the locked position , it’s located in front of the lever . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Thanks Martyn for your tip!! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Bow down

Fortunately I had my car parked in front of my home door so I had time and tools to do this the first time. Next time I will use a long screwdriver pointed in the right direction.
I don't know why LR put an emergency lever so hidden, with no clear indication on manual.

Could be a lot worse - the FL2 is old fashioned cables, so once the solenoid is overridden you can select N.
try it with a DS or even worse BMW X5 - no cables. I believe the X5 requires the front wheel to be removed to get to the gearbox to enable N to be selected - fancy doing that at the side of a motorway just to get it onto a low loader. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

I have currently got a question on this topic which I posted a short while ago. I know of this yellow lever or whatever one calls it. I can select N but vehicle will not move. I thought one had to do something with the yellow lever to get it ijnto N am I wro? Or does the lever need moving to actually be able to push it in N?

It a simple release, so you move the yellow release to the unlock position, and push the gear selector to N. The parking pawl is the retracted, so you can roll the vehicle, as you would any manual vehicle, if it's in neutral. Thumbs Up Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

My problem was/is that I could select N no problem anyway but she would not budge. When I get the new battery fitted will try her on a hill and see if she rolls there.

just look the gearbox if it is really set in Neutral position. Under the bonnet, from top looking the space between air filter and engine you can find the gear-bar that move autobox and you will be able to identify two signs, a P and a N with an "arrow" pointing to one of them, depending on what is now.[/img]

No visible arrow but must be in neutral as not in P or D
