Power failure

I went to start my vehicle last night, (Friday 6th Nov) and nothing happened. Battery 'appeared' flat. RAC called out this morning and he checked everything. Plenty of power in the battery (it's 5 months old) and all relays/fuses etc okay. When you press the ignition button (either with clutch depressed or not) there's nothing showing on the dashboard. The RAC man tried everything but failed to find the fault. His 'report' which I've printed off states 'nothing from ignition switch', relays okay for ignition and starter. It's now got to be collected on Monday and taken to a garage recommended by them. Of course, this will cause a problem in itself as the steering lock cant be released. The RAC guy said that the garage will have to 'pull' the vehicle onto their low loader. My apologies if I've put this in the wrong section.

UPDATE: Well, the 'tow truck' arrived, and I went into my vehicle to see if I had left any of my personal items behind. I don't know why, but I placed the fob into the dock, and could hear the 'pinging' warning sound that the door was open. I tried to start the vehicle and it worked! I had to apologise to the truck driver, but followed him to my favourite local garage for them to check it out. They contacted me today and said that they did a diagnostic check (I've got 7 pages of codes) and all seems fine - it started every time. I'm at a loss what happened, and also none the wiser. Reading through the codes, there's one (B108D-23) which stated 'Start Button Circuit C - Signal stuck low'

I get the same, if the radio does not light up I just take the key out and redock it and it usually works OK.
Mine is a 07 and I assume the dock may be a little worn by now.

Might it be worth getting a new key fob?
When I had mine replaced, it was noticeably tighter in the dock.

Funny you should mention a new fob. I'm sending one for replacement soon, and will send the other, once I get the replacement back. I should also mention that the two original fobs were replaced, one last year and one the year before.

UPDATE:

Further to my post about a 'power failure' on my vehicle, it's been okay since, apart from a week ago. I put the 'key' in, the ignition light etc illuminated, but when I depressed the clutch, the engine would not start. I tried again and a message came up on the dashboard, stating 'press the clutch to start engine' etc. It worked then.
Now, I am getting paranoid about it not starting again, mainly if I'm off road on one of the farms I've got permission to shoot on (I carry out vermin control in my spare time) I have RAC membership but getting a low loader vehicle to recover mine could and probably would cause a problem.
I'm at a loss at what to do. When checked before, nothing relating to it not starting, showed up on a diagnostic check. Also, I've had the 2 fobs renewed.

Do you wait for it to do its system checks, before pressing the clutch to start it?

I've been doing this very thing, and it seems to prevent a list of codes being generated.

Maybe yours just needs to be given time to boot properly, before the starting it. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

check the switch/wires on the clutch pedal
as it does not show up on the codes.
