I ran the 2nd earth cable from the top of the autobox up to the NEG battery terminal.


So you and others have still added the extra earth to the later FL2, think I'm going to follow suit.

I added an extra earth to all 3 of my FL2s - a cheap and easy thing to do.

I bought the leads all made up with the connections I wanted from ebay. Jules

Due to my various problems, well one only I hope ie the glowplugs out of interest decided to check the battery neg to body value. It registered 1.2 ohm. I have a 2nd earth cable fitted to the starter motor as suggested so decided to check that. Looked fine, still shiney metal, so put it back and did the bolt up tight now reading 0.2 ohm , fair improvement. As a belt and braces will fit a 3rd one to the autobox as Jules shows in his photo on this thread.
