iPhone connectivity

Been trying to connect my iphone11 but the car doesn't seem to want to recognise it, regardless of whether I chose device to vehicle or vice versa. Believe I've followed instructions correctly, and phone seems to be properly set up but still nothing. Don't recollect having similar issues with the iphone6; any suggestions?

A list of compatible phones can be found at the web address below (you will need the last six digits of your Vin number)

https://landrover50.nextgen-technology.net...Culture=en

The iPhone 11 does not appear to be a supported model. You may need to see if it's possible to update the cars Bluetooth software to get newer phone model compatibility.

Old iphone6 deleted - was assured by EE that was on their list of being compatible. Work today, will try playing around with it tomorrow, check LR lists etc

Since been able to check LR list and it’s not there - what are my options? Could go back to EE I suppose but liking the phone but obviously would like to have it synced into the car

No problems with my iPhone 11 Pro connected to 2011 GS, paired on day 1 and never been a problem, now upgraded to 12 Pro, also no problems pairing.

Always worth checking you have the most up to date OS software on your phone.

The 11's not on the compatability list, that only runs up as far as a 7plus and the SE! Despite that you're running the 11pro and 12 on an earlier car?
Don't really want to chop phone in for an older compatible one

I don't really hold a lot of confidence in some of these compatibility lists, they're only as good as the information and software levels available when they were compiled.

If you have the latest software in both the phone and the cars Bluetooth module, (depending on hardware revision,) I don't really understand why it shouldn't work.

This issue came up on the forum a few years back, from memory you need to update the software in the blue tooth receiver to pair with newer phones, or get a newer blue tooth receiver from a breaker. MY13 HSE Lux Santorini Black Gone
