United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Santorini Black
Bonnet Cable Replacement

Hi All,

I'm working through the to-do list on my 2007 SE.
Next up is replacing the bonnet cable due to it being stretched.

Has anyone replaced there's and could advise me if there's any tricky bits when changing it?

Thanks
Ben

No done the Freel2, but it's always best to secure a length of strong string to the end of the cable. So the string is drawn through the cable route when it's pulled out. The new cable can then be secured to the string, and the string pulled, pulling the new cable behind it.

I use an electrician's draw tape for this task, as it's generally easier and less likely to snag, but string will work too.
Good luck. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
