Have to remove the lower driver side air bag assembly to gain access to the clutch peddle switch but I am stumped as how to disconnect the electrical plug. I looks like it pulls away from the module assembly but it's stubborn. Can not see anything obvious. All help appreciated.

First disconnect the battery and leave the car to 'discharge' for 15 mins.

Then undo the connector.

Battery already disconnected etc. My issue is the plug itself. It looks nothing like the one in the video, that one is under a seat. The one I am trying to disconnect is connected to the pyrotechnic part of the air bag. Its the driver side lower air bag.

Found some images on line that could help. Looks like there are a couple of tabs you have to squeeze to release it.
Will have another look tomorrow. Too dark and cold now.

Sorry no pictures,but to release you have to prise up the(square) middle part on the top of the plug.It will come up a few mm,but not come off. You can then release the complete plug.To refit fit the plug back into the airbag.(it only fits one way round) Then push the raised centre part back down into the plug thus locking the plug into place.Hope this makes sense! Good luck!

Just for anyone interested. To remove the airbag plug you do not lift up the yellow portion in the middle, that exposes the soldered connections inside, leave that alone. If you look very closely just passed were the yellow top turns over the plug there is a tag each side. Use a pair of small bent point nose pliers to squeeze these together, then ease the plug off the pyrotechnic part of the airbag.
Obviously this is all done with the battery disconnected.
Sorry can't post any photos due to lack of space, shortness of cable and no assistance.
If you look at the photos I posted previously of the plug you should be able to see what I mean.
Be carful as it will be easily damaged. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !

Apologies for giving you "duff" info! I had assumed that the plug was the same as the steering wheel airbag which |I had previously removed and it did have the middle section that lifted up to release! Glad you got there in the end!
