The cold weather has confirmed that I need new glow plugs. My 2010 chassis number AH, should have LR001302 glow plugs. From chassis number BH the part number is LR022300. I have read all the threads on glow plugs that I can find. I am under the impression that the AH glow plugs are 11volts and the BH glow plugs are 5 volts. Can anyone confirm this for me before I place my order? I am thinking of buying these

Very interesting. Maybe they're wired, series/parallel, rather than all in parallel, which would mean they could be powered via the battery voltage. Or it's a mistake in the listing description? Very strange and something very new to me. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. Gone. I have seen quite a few different brand glow plugs rated at 5v, but most seem to be for the BH chassis number and the 11v for the AH chassis number. It seems a lot of members have suffered glow plug failure, myself included. I am wondering if the change in part number and voltage is an attempt by JLR to resolve the issue.

I am sure that this has been covered on here already. Certainly up to 2009 11 volt plugs were used and were fed from a relay. At some point after 2009 5 volt plugs were used and were fed from a glow plug control unit under the scuttle. I only found this after having replaced my 11 volt units with 5 volt ones and had to do the job again. Silver 2009 HSE |

I don't want to have to do the job again. Paul from advanced factors has offered to look up the vin to offer the correct part. My car was manufactured on 11/01/2010 according to the VIN number. I will post his response |

Paul from advanced factors has replied promptly ( thank you ), to say that my AH chassis number car does indeed use the 11v glow plugs.
