I would look at the roof trim, where the roof rails are fitted or not. |

I'd wonder if the line to the rear screen-wash has leaked - is it possible that the rear nozzle was frozen? 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

Your not kidding, here it was one of these days when the ice on the car roof never thawed out all day. In the morning the mirrors didn't want to fold out, the window winder mechanism was frozen solid and just getting the door handles to unclip was a major undertaking. Still started fine and there was no sign of the elusive heater plug symbol on the dash! 2005 D3 2.7 Auto Previously: 2010 MY FL2 TD4e GS - Now gone at 199,500 miles, about 135,000 of them mine. ‘93 Defender 110 200TDi CSW ‘87 Defender 90 4 cyl Petrol ‘83 110 CSW V8 - best ever! It could also be caused by a leak on a different spot which causes condensation on the roof. See this video of a FL2 where you can see the drops hanging on the roof (@7:05)

Grumsel, good point! Indeed, it could just be that with ice on the roof and a warm interior, that there is a lot of condensation forming between the headliner and the roof without the need for any external leak. 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

That’s possible as the car had been standing unused for a few weeks and there was a lot of mist inside when I first got in, very cold here too for quite a while now |

Not sure about the FL2, but my wife's Jazz started getting a damp floor inside when left unused for any time.

I can’t think why just about every second hand car dealer around the world opens up the tailgate of every car on the lot every dry day! |
